Mr. Lee is a corporate financier, venture capitalist and entrepreneur with experience in the financing and building of high-tech and healthcare businesses. Mr. Lee has worked in medical devices, nutriceuticals, agri-biotech, medical services, fast-moving consumer goods, and natural resources.
Mr. Lee worked for three years in the UK Financial Services Audit Division of Deloitte & Touche LLP before leaving to join EFG Corporate Finance (formerly PBTC Corporate Finance), where he provided corporate finance and advisory services. He then worked for Elderstreet, a venture capital and corporate advisory firm that advises, raises money for, and invests in high-tech and software businesses.
Mr. Lee was Senior Vice President at Fifth Avenue Capital, a New York and London based venture capital fund specialising in early stage companies. While at Fifth Avenue Capital, he co-founded and was a director of a US-based healthcare business, which was sold in 2004 in a $30-million transaction, and Electronic Direct Response plc, which was sold in 2005 to TheMutual.net in a £6-million transaction.
More recently, Mr. Lee founded Melee Venture Management Ltd, an investment and advisory business. Through Melee, he co-founded Wound Solutions Ltd, a medical device company that recently completed an institutional fundraising involving a £11-million transaction, and Creswell Medical Ltd, which is developing a chain of private primary care medical clinics in London.
Mr. Lee is currently a substantial shareholder and non-executive director of Wound Solutions Ltd, Creswell Medical Ltd, Regency Mines plc (an AIM listed exploration company), Sharps Barber and Shop. (a premium men’s grooming products business), Prins Alternatech Ltd (an alternative fuels business) and Western Standard Energy Corp. (an oil and gas exploration company).
Mr. Lee has raised capital for a number of businesses including International Mining Research & Development Ltd, Wound Solutions, Creswell Medical, WX Systems, Regency Mines plc, Red Rock Resources and Sharps. Mr. Lee served as Chief Executive Officer of Wound Solutions and as Chief Financial Officer for Western Standard and Creswell Medical.
Mr. Lee attended Radley College, Oxford. He completed his law Tripos at Trinity College, Cambridge, and qualified as a Chartered Accountant at Deloitte & Touche.
